The third consultation on amendments to the Implementing Regulation closed on 27 May 2025 and is not enacted as of June 2026 — there is no fixed revision date.

Likely changes include: a simplified privacy notice; eased direct-marketing and complaint rules; the DPO Rules folded into the Regulation; repeal of the RoPA form; and a new 10-business-day deadline to respond to SDAIA inquiries.

Enforcement is active: ~48 SDAIA decisions in 2025–26, and SAMA has been delegated PDPL compliance for its licensees.
