The Saudi Cybersecurity Workforce Framework (SCyWF) is the NCA's reference model for cybersecurity job roles in the Kingdom. The current version is SCyWF-1.5:2026, released 24 June 2026, which supersedes SCyWF-1:2020.
Status: the NCA presents it as a reference framework and recommends adoption, so it is treated here as guidance rather than a binding control set.
Changes in 1.5: revised job roles, task, knowledge and skill lists and competency areas, plus a new Career Progression appendix.
SCyWF-1:2020: five categories, twelve specialty areas and forty job roles, adapted from the US NICE framework. Its roles are included in the Saudi Standard Classification of Occupations.
